Malia expresses her world lens through tactile, visual, and audio art.

Malia earned an Art Minor focused on ceramics at the University of Miami, developing wheel throwing and hand building techniques. In summer 2023, she apprenticed at La Crosse Clay Center in Wisconsin, learning small business operations, advanced throwing techniques, and glass blowing fundamentals.
During high school (2016-2020), she studied ceramics and 3D Art at Lake Mary High School. Her 2020 AP portfolio featured a Trophy Head series—papier mâché sculptures of endangered animals made from repurposed materials, promoting awareness during Earth Awareness Week.
Beyond visual arts, Malia has written over 40 songs on piano, guitar, and ukulele, and is currently learning music production. She volunteers teaching pottery and ukulele to kids, combining her passion for art and education.
She’s motivated to integrate artistic expression throughout her engineering career and creative projects.
